Counseling project I
As a result of poverty, AIDS, war, abuse and other casualties, thousands of children in the Kamuli region in Uganda are traumatized. This means that they are unhappy, living in poverty, often on the streets, are illiterate, and have no proper education because they don’t go to school. But they are open for the gospel!
The goal of this project is to train local Christian volunteers how to help children to overcome their trauma and find hope in Jesus. To organize this, a group of Christian child psychologists is ready to travel to Uganda and run this program. They will prepare the program and being advised by local people about cultural differences. The training will last 10 days and the team will not only train local volunteers but also counsel children from the school in Kamuli to experience the need and to adjust the program if needed. After the training online support will be offered and the plan is to update the training regularly and to expand this to other regions in Uganda and to Kenya.
