PEVI Children Asking - Life Education Program

Education that transforms lives

PEVI – Life Education Program, developed by Atuação Global in partnership with Children Asking, is a socio-educational program dedicated to the holistic development of children and adolescents. It is based on Principle-Based Education and focuses on prevention, protection, and strengthening healthy relationships.

At PEVI ChilKdren Asking, we currently serve 38 children through an after-school program, providing a safe, welcoming and intentionally designed environment where every child can learn, develop new skills, strengthen their identity, and discover that they have value, potential and purpose.

We believe that education is about far more than simply transferring knowledge. That is why PEVI integrates educational, emotional, relational, social, spiritual and character development, helping children develop life skills and preparing them to make wise and responsible choices.

A safe place to learn and grow

Our after-school program provides children with an environment where they experience care, respect, belonging and genuine support. Every activity is intentionally planned according to each child's stage of development and individual needs.

The daily program includes moments of welcome, learning, workshops, recreation, meals, personal care, social interaction and socio-emotional development, creating opportunities for children to connect what they learn with everyday life.

PEVI also emphasizes active listening, empathy, a culture of peace, emotional intelligence, inclusion and healthy relationships: core values that are central to the educational approach of Atuação Global.

Principle-Based Education

One of PEVI's distinctive features is its use of Principle-Based Education, an approach that integrates academic learning with character formation and the understanding of timeless principles that guide attitudes, decisions and behaviour. These principles are not merely taught as concepts; they are lived out through daily relationships, activities, responsibilities, challenges and decision-making.

Children are encouraged not only to understand what to do, but also why they should do it. In this way they develop responsibility, self-discipline, respect, a servant-hearted attitude and an awareness of the consequences of their choices.

Holistic child development

At PEVI Children Asking, every child is valued as a whole person. Our program intentionally supports growth in every area of life:

Cognitive development through learning and skill-building;
Emotional development by helping children understand and manage their emotions;
Character formation through biblical principles and values;
Healthy relationships by developing respect, empathy, communication and cooperation;
Responsibility and independence, encouraging children to take an active role in their own development;
Protection and prevention by creating safe environments and helping children recognize risks and seek help when needed;
Spiritual growth and purpose within the Christian foundation of the program.

The PEVI training also includes topics such as welcoming and inclusion, servant leadership, the Seven Principles, a culture of peace, child protection networks, recognizing signs of abuse, active listening, strengthening relationships, emotional intelligence, identity, communication and effective learning.

Serving 38 children after school means far more than providing activities during a few hours of the day. It means creating opportunities for every child to be known, welcomed, taught and encouraged. Each child comes with a unique story, family background, dreams, challenges, talents and needs.

Through intentional education and meaningful relationships, PEVI seeks to recognize these individual differences and help every child flourish. It is in this environment that small moments often lead to lasting transformation: Learning to respect others, to forgive, cope with disappointment, accepting responsibility, helping a friend, expressing emotions in healthy ways, making wise choices and discovering new gifts and abilities.

These are lessons that reach far beyond the classroom and remain with children throughout their lives.

PEVI Children Asking is part of a broader vision for education and social transformation. Atuação Global develops socio-educational programs that promote the rights and holistic development of children and adolescents while working closely with families, churches and social organizations. Its approach is built on comprehensive training, educational resources and ongoing support, enabling programs to be implemented with excellence and intentionality.The partnership with Children Asking strengthens this mission, making it possible for the PEVI model to reach children in different communities and contexts. PEVI is officially recognized by Atuação Global as a program developed in partnership with Children Asking and AECEP em Missões.

Our purpose

At PEVI Children Asking, we believe every child deserves the opportunity to grow in an environment filled with love, safety, learning and hope. Our purpose is to equip children for life by helping them develop knowledge, practical skills, strong character and lasting values that will influence not only their education, but also their families, relationships, communities and future decisions.Today we serve 38 children. That means 38 stories being cared for. 38 lives being shaped. And countless opportunities for transformation. Because when we educate a child for life, we are not simply preparing them for the future. We are transforming the present and helping build a future filled with greater hope, responsibility, peace and purpose.
